Annual Giving

Annual giving is the key driver of making Breck Breck, ensuring an extraordinary experience for all our students. Each year, we rely on financial support from more than a thousand community members to support the school’s challenging and innovative academic programs, faculty professional development, arts, athletics, extra-curricular activities, as well as campus-wide upgrades to keep our students together.

Since tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Breck education, every gift demonstrates your commitment to the school, and shows our students the important value we place on giving back to the community.

We all do better when we join together, and now more than ever Breck relies on the support of our community members to sustain this work. Every gift of every size supports the important work we do today, while strengthening our legacy for tomorrow!

From the CARES Act:

The federal government allows you to deduct a charitable donation to a qualified organization if you don’t get anything in return for the donation.

Under 2018 tax law, you could deduct donations that exceeded 60% of your contribution base—meaning your adjusted gross income (AGI). For 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) replaces the 60% of AGI charitable contribution limit with 100% for cash contributions to any public charity. The higher limit applies to contributions made directly to charitable organizations and does not apply to contributions to donor advised funds, supporting organizations or private foundations. As always, please consult your accountant for qualified financial advice.
