Vladimir Tsiper ’25 featured on NPR’s From the Top
The Breck community is proud to congratulate Vladimir Tsiper ’25 on his recent performance on NPR’s From the Top!
Broadcast on nearly 200 stations nationwide, From the Top “features the astounding performances and captivating personal stories of talented classically-trained young musicians from across the country.” After auditioning this fall, Vladimir was invited to play several pieces on the violin and be interviewed on the show.
“I was really happy about the opportunity to perform on From the Top,” says Vladimir. “I am grateful to have met so many other musicians my age and learned more about the classical music world, both understanding its amazing inner working and discussing solutions to its flaws.”
In addition to his performance, Vladimir was also chosen as a From The Top Media Lab Fellow, where he had the opportunity to explore and learn about the life of a classical musician, community outreach programs, and how to bring classical music to schools.
“There are so many different ways to personalize my music, and it is very fun to think of new methods of performing, even if the piece I’m playing was written a very long time ago,” he says. “It was really interesting to record in a professional studio, and I hope to receive more opportunities like this.”
There are a few different ways to listen to Vladimir’s episode (Show 423) beginning Monday, December 12:
