Dean of Equity Jordan Zickermann named visiting scholar for the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education
Please join the Breck community in congratulating Breck’s Dean of Equity Jordan Zickermann on being named a visiting scholar for the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education (CSEE) for the 2023–2024 school year! Ms. Z will be one of three CSEE visiting scholars from independent schools across the country.
CSEE’s mission is to “empowers independent schools, through a network of educators who provide expert support, to inspire ethical thinking, a sense of purpose, and a commitment to building character while advancing the values of empathy, service, equity, and justice.”
In addition to her work in Breck’s Melrose Family Center for Leadership and Equity, as a CSEE visiting scholar, Ms. Z will spend next year engaging faculty and staff across the country in conversations on affinity group structure and support, Indigeneity in schools, and practical strategies for implementing and sustaining DEI efforts across divisions. In addition, she will host affinity groups for educators through CSEE and chair a virtual DEI department group.
“This is an incredible opportunity, and I can’t think of a more deserving practitioner!” says Director of Leadership and Equity at the Melrose Family Center Cheléah Googe.
Congratulations, Ms. Z!
