Breck's 2023 National Merit Semifinalists
Seven students from the Class of 2023 have been recognized as Semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Please join the Breck community in congratulating Eva B., Floria E., Sarah F., Matthew G., Sarah P., Trisha S., and Kendall W. on this incredible accomplishment!
These Breck seniors achieved the highest scores in Minnesota on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, earning them a spot as part of this year's group of 16,000 nationwide Semifinalists. This spring, they will have the opportunity to compete for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million.
"The Breck students receiving National Merit Semifinalist recognition are not only exceptionally intelligent, they are highly engaged in all areas of the Breck community: robotics, athletics, community partnerships, theater, and so much more," says Director of College Counseling Jonny Nicholson. "They embody our mission and values: intellectual curiosity, self-knowledge, and social responsibility. We commend them for this recognition and admire them for the amazing people they are."
