Congratulations to Sammy R. '25 on his participation in the recent "Eternal Offerings: Chinese Ritual Bronzes" exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art! This exhibit, curated by Mia’s Chinese art curator Liu Yang and world-renowned art director and film designer Tim Yip (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) "Eternal Offerings" "offers an immersive experience designed to evoke the mystery of heavenly and ancestral worship."

A family friend involved in the exhibit approached Sammy for help when he discovered Sammy's experience in 3D printing. "They wanted to find a way to create translucent 3D scans of some of the ancient artifacts they were putting on display, but they couldn’t find anyone to do it," he says. Sammy offered to help.

The models Sammy printed are now on display alongside the exhibit, which runs until May 21 in the Target Gallery at Mia.

"The thing I enjoyed most about being able to print the items is being able to see my prints on display at the museum," Sammy says. "I am pretty proud that they were satisfied with my printing, and I think the method they came up with for displaying them was very cool."

Congratulations again, Sammy!
