Breck elects 25 new members to Cum Laude Society

Last week, Breck welcomed seniors and juniors and their families to campus for their induction into the Cum Laude Society at Breck.

The Cum Laude Society dates back to 1906 and recognizes the scholastic achievement of students in secondary schools nationwide. Only students who have demonstrated integrity, honor, and character in addition to their achievements in the classroom. It is an honor to be elected to it.

This year, twelve students who were inducted into the Society in 2019-2020 joined the ceremony for an in-person acknowledgement of their election into the chapter. Those students included:

The evening also included remarks by Kiarra Zachery '10. In her remarks, she shared with the inductees, "I know that you all have that drive. You have the ability to actualize your fear, your frustrations, your anger, your passion, and turn them into unique and wonderful opportunities. I know that because I've been watching you and I've seen you all create a space to tell your stories and demand accountability. I have seen you all organize with each other to speak about the change that you want to see in the world."
