Jordan Zickermann, Dean of Equity and Middle School Dean at Breck, has been honored as a recipient of the 2026 Native American 40 Under 40 Awards. Presented by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development, this prestigious annual award celebrates 40 American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and dedication to their communities and professions.

Jordan, a citizen of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, was recognized for her transformative work in education and her sustained commitment to fostering inclusive environments — both at Breck and in the broader community. Her leadership in equity, advocacy for Native students and families, and vision for inclusive opportunity exemplify the values this award was created to celebrate.

Chris James, President and CEO of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development, noted that Jordan and the other 40 under 40 honorees “embody the spirit of rising together, achieving excellence while lifting up others and creating opportunities for their communities to thrive.”

Across Breck campus, Jordan’s contributions are felt every day, both in the students she mentors and the culture of belonging she helps build. We are immensely proud of her and grateful for everything she brings to Breck.
