Endowment
Breck’s Endowment is a cornerstone in furthering our mission to support the growth, learning, and development of every student. Its robustness underpins our long term financial sustainability, ensuring a steadfast support system for generations of Breck students to come.
Breck’s endowment is comprised of visionary gifts from generous donors and of investment growth and earnings, and is carefully invested and managed according to policies set by the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. Since tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Breck education, the school relies on a prudent draw from the endowment each year to sustain its operations.
Over the past twenty years, Breck’s endowment has grown from $30.7 million in June 30, 2003 to its current value of $64.6 million as of June 30, 2023. In the 2022-23 fiscal year, the Board of Trustees’ endowment policy resulted in a draw of 4.4% of the endowment, totaling $2.85 million. These endowed funds provided an integral 6% of our overall operating income of $44.2 million.
Making an endowed fund contribution:
An endowment gift to Breck is a contribution whose impact will last into perpetuity, strengthening the institution and community year after year. Donors may make a gift of any size to one of Breck's endowment funds listed below. A Named Endowed Fund can be created with a donation of $100,000 or more.
