Breck operates as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, without financial support from public sources. Gifts to the Breck Fund form a critical part of our operating budget given that net tuition and endowment draws cover only 80% of the true cost of educating a Breck student. We rely on annual fundraising to bridge this gap and we urge you to prioritize your support for the Breck Fund with a gift that is appropriate for your family.
 

Like the vast majority of independent schools, we do not charge families what it actually costs to attend Breck. Significant increases in tuition could make a Breck education unattainable for many families, potentially altering our school's unique culture and learning environment. Tax-deductible donations to the Breck Fund help keep tuition costs affordable and provide crucial financial aid and scholarships to deserving students.

Breck School has fewer supporters than a large university or charity, but our needs are similar. That is why we ask every member of the Breck community, including our Board of Trustees, parents, faculty/staff, alumni, grandparents and friends, to consider making a yearly gift to the Breck Fund at a level that is appropriate for them personally.

The Breck Fund is the school's primary annual fundraising priority. Unlike other giving opportunities—which fund multi-year projects, long-term reserves, or specific initiatives—the Breck Fund directly supports the current fiscal year’s operating budget. Every gift, no matter the size, provides flexible, immediate support that impacts the daily experience of our students and faculty. Gifts to the Breck Fund can be given any time during the school’s fiscal year (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027).
