Position Overview
The Associate Athletic Director will be directly responsible to the Athletic Director on all matters of interscholastic athletics. S/he will serve on behalf of Breck School in ensuring that the athletic department philosophy and policy are articulated and implemented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate Upper School (US) Athletics
Assist the Director of Athletics in hiring US coaches
Train and mentor US coaches
Schedule US games
Prep facilities for practices and events
Act as site supervisor for home events and other events as designated
Function as Director of Operations for the athletic offerings as assigned
Assist Athletic Director in conducting coach orientation meetings, parent orientation meetings and parent of captains orientation meetings.
Collaborate with athletic admin team (Athletics Coordinator & AD) to:
Coordinate flow of information related to Breck athletics
Coordinate Breck School’s presence on MSHSL website
Maintain and update the Breck School athletic website
Work to create opportunities for increased participation in all US athletics
Connect with US prospective athletes interested in learning more about our athletic program.
Work with US coaches to ensure teams are utilizing our partnership with The Power House Gym
Work with the Middle School Athletic Coordinator in aligning MS athletics with US athletics.
Work with Upper School Deans to build school spirit and enhance the fan experience.
Search and confirm opportunities to become involved in the life of the Upper School.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and Upper School Division Director.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Flexible schedule during the school year; days, evenings and weekends.
Deep understanding of MS Word, Excel, Google applications.

About the Role
Breck Communications is responsible for the internal and external voice of this nationally-recognized school. The Creative Strategist will lead the visual identity and brand of the school in order to communicate and advance the mission of Breck.
Serving on the communications team requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment that is in constant pursuit of excellence. We aspire to create beautiful, captivating stories through print and digital media and connect those stories to our broad base of students, parents, faculty and staff, and alumni. The Creative Strategist must hold the ability to understand our school’s brand, translate big ideas into consumable communications and create innovative designs. This person must hold deep technical knowledge of design software while also carrying the spark of creativity and direction that can only be found in a high-functioning communications team. As the Creative Strategist, you will hold primary responsibility for the management of the institution's brand and visual identity, managing creative direction, contributing to photo and video assignments, and implementing innovative design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hold a deep technical knowledge of the complete design process from brainstorming to end product
Translate written communication or project goals into high-quality design that aligns with brand direction
Manage brand style guide and brand identity
Consult with constituencies across the school for effectiveness of communication and design
Provide school-wide design support and direction, with keen ability to translate ideas into reality
Be not afraid of the blank page (or screen)
Collaborate with colleagues to produce comprehensive communication campaign strategies
Develop programs, books, promotions, and other materials to support the mission of Breck.
Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
Examine existing project scope and make recommendations for improved efficiencies and opportunities
Coordinates with outside agencies such as design vendors, printers, and other vendors in order to complete jobs.
Manage projects as they are requested, sometimes managing multiple projects simultaneously

About the Role
The Director of Development role is a key member of the Advancement team who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the advancement team as well as strategic partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer and Head of School. As Breck prepares for the lead-up of a transformational comprehensive campaign, this position will also hold a key role in relationship development, campaign strategy, and fundraising across constituencies. The ideal candidate is committed to the values of diversity, equity and inclusion, holds a passion for education — particularly for preschool through grade 12 schools — and is an experienced fundraiser and excellent communicator. Their partnership across the advancement and communications team is critical to the future momentum of building a culture of philanthropy within a school community that is committed to its mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Donor Strategy and Operations
Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer on the strategy and management of development operations ranging from annual, major, and planned giving, to stewardship and data in an organization that raises $2-5 million annually in individual support, foundation grants, corporate sponsorship.
Recognize the power of data and information and develop strategies to make research-informed decisions and recommendations.
Serve as a key member of the Advancement team, guiding annual strategies that support year-over-year revenue growth.
Manage a portfolio of individual relationships and support the Head of School, CAO and other organizational leaders in their work stewarding critical relationships.
Identify organization-wide opportunities for donor engagement and cultivation.
Work with the Advancement Team to identify appropriate updates to donor tracking and database, establish and maintain donor engagement protocols.
Partner in the plan, test, and potential launch of a comprehensive campaign.
Donor Engagement, Events, and Stewardship
Manage donor relationships and, where appropriate, support colleagues in their donor relationship management work
Work closely with the Annual Giving Director to identify and engage new prospects
Provide support in writing grants and reports and ensure final submission of program-specific grants and reports. Identify new opportunities as available.
Oversee cultivation and fundraising events strategy, including Breck's annual Blue & Gold Bash
Collaborate with Stewardship Manager on opportunities to share on-topic successes, opportunities for giving, and donor impact reports.
Communications and Operations
Partner with Communications Team members to provide development insight and support for short- and long-term projects.
Work with Chief Operating Officer and Controller on financial projections, budgeting, and reporting
Collaborate with Database Manager on use of data, reporting, and analytics.
Participate in the Board Advancement committee and the Breck Fund Committee, preparing monthly reports and leading conversation and input around development strategy.
Support and engage Board of Trustees on development strategies and engagement.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in a related field
5-10 years of experience 10 years experience and leadership in fundraising, especially in individual donor prospect management, major gifts, cultivation, and management.

Administer programs within the established philosophies and guidelines of Breck School.

Position Overview
Grade-Level Deans will oversee the coherence and successful integration of all components of students’ lives at Breck, including course selection, program adjustment, and progress towards graduation. Grade-Level Deans are responsible for setting and maintaining culture within their respective graduating class. Rotating with students throughout their 4-year journey through the Upper School, the Deans will be ingrained in all aspects of student life and will strive to build meaningful relationships with students and families.
This individual works collaboratively as a part of the Upper School administration team to support students, parents/guardians, and faculty. Deans will help to foster a caring, positive, and engaging learning environment. Building a partnership with parents is an important part of the role. Deans collaborate with others to provide programming and support for the academic and social/emotional growth of all students. With an understanding of adolescent development, teaching and learning, the Dean shapes the personality of the class as a whole while also focusing on the individual development of every student.
Deans are expected to commit to 4 years to ensure coherence and consistency with their respective classes. There shall be an expected term of 4 years (grades 9-12) for grade level deans with opportunities to renew at the end of each 4-year term.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor student progress and development both academically and socially
Encourage student enthusiasm for, and sense of community in the School by generating student support for school activities and developing class programs
Organize and plan grade level retreat (each year of the 4-year term)
Oversee the overall discipline and climate of the class
Provide leadership in advisory programming and execution.
Communicate frequently with both faculty and parents/guardians about students’ experiences
Advise the Division Director on setting student policies and procedures in the division
In conjunction with the other deans and the Division Director, help construct the master academic schedule
Coordinate May program plans for relevant grade level
Collaborate with US Counselor, SST, and College Counseling in discussions of student support
In conjunction with school administration, interview and evaluate applicants for administrative and teaching positions
Represent the School frequently at school events
Teach two classes (or equivalent)
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in high school setting
Previous independent school administrative experience desired
