Breck's Homecoming Week 2024 (September 23–28) was filled with pride for the Blue & Gold!

On Monday morning from 8:00–8:30 a.m., the Advanced Concert Chorale and Symphonic Wind/Jazz Ensemble played various songs, including the Alma Mater and Breck’s Fight Song. At the same time, the Upper School student councils greeted Lower and Middle School students as they arrived at school for the Homecoming Kickoff

On Wednesday, we celebrated our Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, Leah (Lussier) Sixkiller ’03, for a Community Conversations event and to hear her speak at Upper School Chapel. We also welcomed the Breck Class of 1974 into the Golden Mustangs.

On Thursday night, Breck hosted the Outstanding Alumni Awards, which include the Breck Athletic Hall of Fame Susannah Brokl ’03, Marin McCarthy Page ’04, Brandon Robinson ’04, Liam O’Hagan ’04, Dave Kust, the 1999–2000 Girls Nordic Ski team, and 2001 Boys Tennis team who won State; Excellence in the Arts Award winners Addie Gorlin-Han ’07 and Rachel (Kordonowy) McGarry ’91; and Alum of the Year, Jon Septer ’01.

On Friday, the Alumni Council welcomed alumni back to Breck at the Homecoming Tailgate and Football Game.

On Saturday, we had a great time at the Blessing of the Animals and the Carnival and Cookout. Thank you for coming out to all the events!

Twin Cities Regional Science Fair Groups pose for photos

Breck brought 33 projects and 43 students to this year's Twin Cities Regional Science Fair — the largest fair in recent memory, with 525 total projects competing. Despite the stiff competition, 29 of the 33 Breck projects advanced to the Minnesota State Science and Engineering Fair.
