Alicen Buns Spaulding - Scientific Investigator - Children's Minnesota Research Institute
Alicen Burns Spaulding is a Scientific Investigator at Children’s Minnesota Research Institute. She is responsible for helping translate research performed in the newborn and pediatric intensive care units into clinical practice, and her areas of expertise and interest are infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance, and pediatric antibiotic stewardship. Prior to joining Children’s Minnesota she worked for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as a Presidential Management Fellow and as an Epidemiologist in the Laboratory of Clinical Infectious Diseases. She holds an MPH degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Ph.D. degree in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota.

As an alumna and a current Breck parent I am deeply invested in making sure that Breck alumni feel connected to the school and are able to meaningfully contribute to helping the school fulfill its mission to produce graduates who go on to have a positive impact on our communities and world.
