Alumni Honors & Awards
Alumni of the Year and Distinguished Alumni Award
The Breck School Alumni Association presented the Alumni Achievement Award to its first alumnus in 1976 for service to the school and career or civic accomplishments since leaving the school. In 1988, the Alumni Association decided to recognize these accomplishments separately, creating two awards: the Alumni of the Year and the Distinguished Alumni Award. The Alumni of the Year Award honors an individual who has demonstrated outstanding volunteer leadership and service to the Alumni Association and Breck School. The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented annually during Homecoming to an alumnus or alumna who has distinguished themselves in career accomplishments and community leadership.
Breck Athletic Hall of Fame
The Breck Athletic Hall of Fame honors individuals and teams who have represented Breck in excellent fashion. It is a cooperative effort between the Breck Alumni Association and the Athletic Department. All alumni candidates must be considered in good standing with Breck School and hold recognizable accomplishments in the areas of athletics during their Breck experience. The Del Carter '50 Memorial Award is given out during the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and features individuals know for their outstanding service to Breck Athletics.
Excellence in the Arts Award
The Breck School Excellence in the Arts Award represent a cooperative effort between the Alumni Association, the Alumni Office, and the Breck Performing Arts and Visual Arts Departments. Honoring Excellence in the Arts is one of many recognition areas that are designed to foster pride and spirit in Alumni and in the Breck community.
Presented each year at the Breck Outstanding Alumni Awards Ceremony, the Excellence in the Arts award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding work in a creative field.
