WorldQuest State Champions -- again!
Members of Breck’s Academic WorldQuest Team are state champions -- again! Congratulations to Cole Maxwell ’18, Darlene Radichel ’19, Sam Aronson ’18, and Jed Peterson ’19 who all won an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C., during the Minnesota Academic WorldQuest competition on February 7.
The team participated in 11, five-question rounds and were named state champions for the second consecutive year. Breck's freshman team, including Dominic Greco '21, John Cardwell '21, Will Sweeney '21, and George Richards '21 finished 16th in the competition as well. The team's advisors include Upper School History Instructors Charlie Grossman and Lori Merrill.
"Once again they were incredibly impressive in the competition and I’m really excited to see them go back to nationals," says Grossman. "For our freshman team, they performed great and it bodes well for the future of Academic WorldQuest at Breck."
The national competition will be held at the National Press Club in April.
The competition is sponsored by Global Minnesota, a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to promote international understanding and engagement.
