Breck's Middle School Deans
Social & Emotional Support
Breck's support services department provides short-term counseling as needed for students and their parents on a broad range of individual and developmental concerns. The department also provides teachers with resources for health, guidance, chemical and sexuality curriculum offerings. A consulting psychologist and counselors are on staff for each division.
Psychologists
Our consulting psychologist is available one day each week in each division to provide support for students and families. A range of services is provided, which include assessment, emotional/behavioral support and parenting information. Parents may contact our Psychologists directly or work with Lower School classroom teachers or Middle or Upper School deans to access services.
Counselors
Our counselors provide support for students and families that includes: individual counseling, small skill-based groups, classroom presentations, informal assessment, parent education and referrals to community agencies. A variety of lessons/programs have been developed to address a broad range of topics to support children's social/emotional health and academic success.
Deans
Deans in all divisions support the social, emotional and behavioral needs of students. They listen to concerns and issues, provide coaching and feedback to students, facilitate small groups and assist students in feeling positive, healthy and responsible choices.
