Middle School Extracurriculars
Athletics
Fifth and sixth grade students take part in a range of intramural sports (MIP). Seventh and eighth graders may compete in any of the following interscholastic sports: baseball (boys), basketball (boys and girls), cross-country running, Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing, football, gymnastics (girls), hockey (boys and girls), soccer (boys and girls), softball (girls), swimming and diving, tennis, track and field and volleyball (girls).
Clubs
Middle School clubs meet weekly and cover a range of interests and activities. These are great opportunities for students in grades five through eight to contribute to a common goal. Activity and Study. Club time is also used by staff members of the Middle School newspaper, the Stampede, the Chapel/Service Committee, the Academic Triathlon team and Student Leadership council.
Drama
Drama is important at Breck. Each spring Middle School students present a musical production. In May 2011, they're scheduled to perform "Guys and Dolls, Jr.," with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
