Have you ever wondered how many gallons of water it would take to turn a classroom into a pool? How about how many silly bands it would take to equal a pound? Why are cereal boxes the size they are? Join Breck teacher Kim Schafer as you find the answers to these and many other mathematically inspired questions.

NEW! Let’s Play (grades 3-4: SA-101b)
Do you like to play board games? Have you ever wondered what the first board game was? Do you have an idea for creating your own game? Come play and learn with Breck faculty member Kim Schafer as you investigate, explore and create board games.

NEW! Reading and Writing Enrichment: Sharing Stories (grade 2-4: SA-101c)
Have you ever been given the time to write, but feel like you don’t have anything to write about? Well, authors, come join Breck reading specialist Julia Kugland on an adventure. You will learn how to take the story that makes you YOU and turn it into a work of art! We will use literature from amazing authors to help us dig deep and share our stories with the world.

NEW! Reading and Writing Enrichment: Storywriters (grades 2-4: SA-101d)
From the first day of class, you will know we are writers. We each have a story to tell. Julia Kugland, Breck reading specialist, will guide you through the process of taking the small moments in life and turning them into writing, to share with the world. In this class we will explore how literature can inspire us to write.

Math Skills Refresher (grade 3: SA-201a / grade 4: 201b)
Students will have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of place value and problem-solving using hands-on materials, strategies and games. This class is taught by Breck third grade teacher Elizabeth Schoenborn.
