Breck School to Host Minnesota Educators
On Friday, February 17, 2006, more than 900
educators from independent schools across Minnesota
will gather for their annual conference. This year the event will be hosted by Breck
School
in Golden Valley.
The group, called MAIS (the Minnesota Association of Independent
Schools) will hear a keynote address by Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, the first
African-American woman in the history of Harvard
University
to have an endowed professorship named in her honor.
Breck is an Episcopal, coeducational, college-preparatory day school
enrolling students of diverse backgrounds and abilities in grades preschool
through twelve.
