Tonkin, Fondow Awarded Faculty Chairs

April 21, 2008. The Breck Faculty Chair program, which was established in 2005, recognizes excellence in teaching.

Thanks to the generosity of six families, our Faculty Chair program honors two teachers every year. Each recipient hold the position for three academic years, and will be able to use funds from the program to pursue a special project.

At the annual Trustee Day chapel today, Head of School Edward Kim announced that the Lee and Penny Anderson Family Foundation Breck Faculty Chair has been awarded to Lower School teacher Bobbie Tonkin. Ms. Tonkin teaches first grade and has been a member of the Breck faculty since 1988. He also announced that the Carl and Eloise Pohlad Family Breck Faculty Chair has been awarded to Middle School teacher Robin Fondow. Mr. Fondow is the Middle School Athletic Director and has been a member of the faculty since 1984.
