A Great Night for Mustangs and Mockstangs
Mock Trial Wins State
Congratulations to Breck's team — now dubbed the Mockstangs — on their victory at the Minnesota State Tournament. Kristina Tester won an All-State Attorney award, and Josh Stillman won an All-State Witness award. The team will represent Minnesota in the national competition in Philadelphia, May 2-9.
Boys Hockey Defeats New Ulm
Our boys hockey team had a dominating performance in the state tournament quarterfinals, defeating the New Ulm Eagles 11-1. A highlight of the game was Breck's seven goals in the second period, including four goals in 52 seconds. The seven-goal period ties a state tournament record.
The next step in their quest to be the first-ever repeat champions in Class A will be a semifinal versus #4 seed Warroad at 1:00 on Friday, March 12. The Mustangs defeated Warroad in the finals to win the state championship last year.
With the win, the Mustangs improve their season record to 27-2-0.
