Middle School Extracurriculars


Fifth and sixth grade students take part in a range of intramural sports (MIP). Seventh and eighth graders* may compete in any of the following interscholastic sports: baseball (boys), basketball, cross-country running, Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing, football, gymnastics (girls), hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball (girls), swimming and diving, tennis, track and field and volleyball (girls).

*Both boys and girls teams unless specified otherwise


Middle School clubs meet weekly and cover a range of interests and activities. These are great opportunities for students in grades five through eight to contribute to a common goal. Activity and Study. Club time is also used by staff members of the Middle School newspaper, the literary magazine, the Chapel/Service Committee, the Academic Triathlon team and Student Leadership council. 


Drama is important at Breck. Each spring Middle School students present a musical production. In May 2017, they performed “The Wizard of Oz, Jr.”
