      What Happens Next?

Once the Director of Financial Aid receives and reviews the SSS Report of Family Contribution, a recommendation will be made to the school’s Financial Aid committee based upon the school’s policies and availability of funds. Each year, more families apply for admission to Breck and qualify for financial aid than the budget can accommodate. When this occurs — given the nature of “need-blind” acceptance — a student can be accepted for admission and offered a place in the desired class but not offered aid.

Assuming that a financial aid applicant has been accepted and invited to enroll as a Breck student, and that the family has completed the application process in a timely fashion, Breck will include information about either the offer or denial of financial aid along with acceptance and enrollment materials for new families or, for currently enrolled families, in a letter.

      Helpful Hints

If you wish to provide additional information or explain special circumstances, please use the “Other Considerations” section of the PFS to further explain your situation. You can also send a letter to Breck’s Associate Director of Financial Aid, Carrie Lennox at carrie.lennox@breckschool.org.
