Lower School Faculty
The Lower School faculty is committed to working together to establish a safe, respectful and inclusive community. Teachers work in teams to provide a rich, comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Each teacher builds a classroom community that helps students grow as responsible, caring and motivated learners.
We are proud that many of our faculty members have been awarded special recognition for their expertise. Jane Bartow, Karen Pape, Ruthanne Swenson and Alice Wright are Breck Master Teachers.
From Student to Teacher
Among Lower School faculty members are three former Breck students. Elizabeth Powers-Dempsey '82 teaches kindergarten. Ty Thayer, who left Breck before his graduation year of 1990, teaches first grade.
