Every Student Grows
Our rich curricular and extracurricular programs provide opportunities for each student to discover his or her individual talents and let them blossom and grow. Students are exposed to a wide variety of offerings in visual arts, performing arts and athletics and encouraged to take advantage of Breck's facilities and dedicated teachers and coaches.
Performing Arts at Breck
The Performing Arts department at Breck seeks to provide opportunities for students to strengthen confidence through competence and the exercise of courage in a range of curricular and extracurricular activities including productions in our magnificent 450-seat Cargill Theatre.
Visual Arts
The goal of the visual arts department is to develop student's perception, building an awareness of media, design, critical thinking, creativity, and craftsmanship within the context of a formal background in the elements and principles of art. We cultivate a strong understanding of visual art across cultural and disciplinary boundaries. Our belief in the importance of children's art is shown by the display of their artwork. The exhibits in the hallways and in the George R.A. Johnson Gallery contribute to a stimulating, child-centered school atmosphere, reinforcing the student's motivation and interest in the arts.

Athletic offerings at Breck are unprecedented for a school of our size. We have more than 60 girls and boys teams that compete interscholastically, most in the Minnesota State High School League's Tri-Metro Conference.
We invite you to learn more about athletics at Breck by reading about the principles that guide our Athletic program, checking out our Trophy Case, reading recent news articles about our teams or checking schedules, rosters and standings.
And we're proud of our rich athletic tradition as well. Check out our Hall of Fame of alumni athletes.
