Job Summary

The Academic Tech Coordinator works together with the Librarian to effectively integrate technology tools with the divisional curriculum in all academic departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support technology integration as it relates to curriculum, instruction and assessment
  • Promote methods for innovative teaching and learning with technology tools
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and stay current with leading-edge tech tools via networking, conferences, workshops, published information, etc.
  • Provide professional development to faculty with new instructional technology and school-wide initiatives
  • Offer technology troubleshooting and training on an as-needed basis
  • Collaborate with department members to provide the highest level of service and support to teachers and students
  • Evaluate divisional technology needs and recommend innovative solutions
  • With Librarian, provide information literacy and media literacy instruction
  • Curate divisional collection of learning apps, web-based subscriptions, and library resources (including both print and digital); train students and faculty on their use
  • With Librarian, operate day-to-day functions of the divisional library
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Subject area expertise in academic technology and library services
  • Current information on technology and trends and design
  • Communication skills both one-on-one and within a group
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
