How to Apply

Breck's admissions process is designed so that the school, student applicant and parents become well enough acquainted to decide whether Breck is the appropriate environment for the student. It is important that interested students and their parents have as much information as possible about Breck. Please visit the campus for a tour.

Day Visits

Day visits let applicants become acquainted with the classroom work and meet faculty members and students. Visits are scheduled Monday through Friday of each week that school is in session. Applicants for admission to first grade spend a morning with the kindergartners. Applicants for admission to grades two through twelve spend a full academic day as guests of Breck students in the applicant's current grade level.

Testing

Candidates for admission to preschool through grade 4 will test during the day visit to campus. The preschool and kindergarten developmental tests will be administered in a comfortable child-friendly setting. Students applying for grades 1-4 will take a standardized test administered in a child-friendly setting. All candidates for admission to grades 5-12 are tested at one of the following Saturday sessions from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM: January 7, 2012, February 4, 2012, and February 25, 2012.

You are encouraged to register for the session you prefer as far in advance as possible to guarantee your space. While students are testing, Breck administrators and the admissions staff provide an informational meeting for prospective parents.
