2009-10 Financial Aid Program
Breck adheres to a need-blind admissions process; therefore, families seeking enrollment and financial aid are afforded equal consideration by the Admissions Decisions Committee. For the 2009-10 academic year, a financial aid budget in excess of $4,425,000 is dedicated to need-based tuition grants and other charges related to the Breck experience. Grants are renewable from one academic year to the next; however, families are required to submit updated information annually so that grant adjustments can be made to reflect changing degrees of need.

Breck’s Financial Aid Committee awarded need-based grants to students whose annual family income ranged from up to $20,000 to more than $250,000. The information provided below gives a window into the school’s aggressive financial aid program. A family’s total income serves as the starting point for calculations toward determining degree of need, with many factors considered: family size; number of children in — or making application to — tuition-bearing schools; age of the older primary working parent; assets; liabilities; unusual allowable expenses. It is then highly likely that families of the same size and income level might have very different need outcomes. The information shared below is based solely on income and, therefore, the figures presented are for general guideline purposes only.
